Over New Year’s on the Gold Coast, I got to visit the Big Brother Australia house and had a full 45 minutes to wander around by myself as part of the paid VIP Experience that was offered by Dreamworld. It was way better than the usual guided tour, where they whip you in and out super quickly and you have to stay to a guided path.

Walking through the house in person, it’s immediately apparent that it was designed specifically for television. With the show returning to its original format on Channel 10 for the first time in years, the overall build quality felt noticeably below the standard of the previous houses I’ve visited at Dreamworld.

Prior to entering into the house there is a queue setup and ticket checking for the VIP Experience.

You could see leftover building materials and products scattered through the gaps in the construction if you looked closely. The quality was clearly lacking up close, yet it looked amazing on screen.

Earlier in the year during production you could get a photo taken on the diary room chair for a small fee paid to Dreamworld.
