I’m thrilled to be fully approved for Global Entry, making U.S. entry a breeze!

As Global Entry for Australians, introduced in February 2025, is still new, I was uncertain about the enrolment on arrival process in the USA. To avoid being denied due to a minor issue, I brought plenty of printed information.

On Wednesday, I arrived at LAX (Tom Bradley International Terminal) and cleared customs through the visitor lines for the final time. After grabbing my luggage, I noticed the Global Entry area to the left, just before the exit, where the Enrolment on Arrival process offers a smoother review than scheduling a separate interview.

The process was fairly easy after providing some documents for identity and physical address and taking some fingerprints.

Now, with my Global Entry approved, I also get TSA PreCheck, letting me keep my shoes on and laptop in my bag during domestic U.S. flights, while bypassing the often lengthy TSA lines. This is the best benefit of Global Entry!
