As part of the Australian Global Entry application process, a background check is conducted by the Australian Government’s Home Affairs department.
On Saturday, I encountered an error when attempting to submit the background check. The payment section, which is currently not required due to the amount being $0, was causing the issue. This issue has been resolved, and the payment option is now removed from the application. Surprisingly, the issue was resolved over the weekend, considering that it is a government department.

My background check is now in a manual review status, which hopefully won’t take too long as the necessary information has been provided.

I’ll continue to post updates of this process, as it’s the first time Australians have been allowed to apply for Global Entry.
